Aimee Mullins is an American athlete, fashion model and actress who first became famous for her accomplishments in athletics. She was born with a medical condition called fibular hemimelia which is also known as missing fibula bones that has resulted in the amputation of both of her lower legs. She has move on to become one of the most prominent thinkers on the topic of prosthetic innovation.
The Sports Illustrated magazine named her one of the “Coolest Girls in Sport”.
Aimee Mullins has looked at herself as not being disabled but rather having more opportunities than ever for her condition. She has the ability to be taller as well as have the ability to change into her different legs according to her liking.
It is important to focus on what you do have and be happy with it rather than focusing on what you do not have and be miserable with it.
